DELFT DIVIDED FOR 40 YEARS
RAIL MUST BE UNDERGROUND
After 40 years of being divided, it’s time to connect the city’s heart again. Where at first there was a clear separation, there will become the center of our beautiful city. Bring Delft together again and stop the tracks under the ground !
The Third dimension poster by Karla:
The narrative poster by Geert:

Hey Karla,
I see there’s use of the 3D in your poster and that the focus seems to be on the people. The background is kept nice and light to have more depth in it. The effect could be stronger if the silhouets would fade a bit more in the “back”.
Goodluck with the next one.
Yeah i think that your observation is right. I thought about that but too late. Thank you for your comment.
Composition
Very nice poster. We like the clear and very simple composition of it, and you still have a story to tell with few people and minimal graphic. I do not understand the text on the right but maybe because I’m not Dutch, neither living in Delft, nor in TU at the moment for the lecture I VCD. Very nice!
Color
There is an effective use of different color but we have to admit that they are not very ‘beautiful’ ones neither very efficient. The main problem despite the choice of the colour themselves if the fact that they are to much fade. Nevermind the composition is funny and storytelling.
3D
There if an obvious use of the 3D by the drawings/rendering of (supposed) the architectural team, enhance by the presence of the silhouettes. By ‘Creating History’ and ‘Bringing people together’ you are more working on a conception of 3D extended in time rather than in perspective terms, and that is very nice and unusual.
Narrative
Very nice poster. We clearly see the narration over time by the ingenuity of the train tracks as a timeline. Maybe it could have been more effective turning a factory into a ‘couple home’. Very simple and minimal approach that leads the all reading to be very clear.
Good Luck to all of you.
